BOOKING AND PAYMENT

Pykälä will send the customer an email outlining reservation details, including reservation confirmation and the invoice, as well as the name of the holiday resort and all other relevant information to the booking. More detailed information on the location and the log cabins can be found on our website:

The booking has been confirmed when the customer has made a full payment. If the payment has not been made by the invoice due date, Pykälä has the right to cancel the booking.

CANCELLING OR CHANGING A BOOKING

Cancellation must primarily be made in writing (letter, e-mail, SMS). In urgent cases, the cancellation can be done by phone.


OWNER'S RIGHT TO CANCEL A BOOKING

Pykälä can cancel a booking due to unforeseen circumstances (force majeure), in which case the customer will be entitled for a full refund.


STAYING AT THE HOLIDAY RESORT

The keys to the reserved destination in Pykälä are available in appointed keyboxes. The owner will provide the combination code for the keyboxes. To avoid accidentally misplacing the keys, we strongly recommend always storing the keys in the keybox during your stay.

With a confirmed booking, the reserved destination can be accessed from 12 noon on the chosen arrival day until 12 noon on the day of departure. With weekend bookings, the destination will be available for use from 12 noon on Friday until 12 noon on Sunday, or according to other agreement. If there is no other booking for the day of departure, a flexible time of departure can be discussed with the owner.

The reservation of Pykälä includes furniture, kitchen facilities, tableware and cutlery, electricity (heating, cooking, lighting), firewood for the fireplace, stone oven and wooden barbeque hut (Kelogrilli).

There are usually also some necessities available, such as toilet paper and kitchen towel paper, washing liquids and hygiene products, unless they have temporarily run out due to increased use during high season.

The price includes mattresses, duvets and pillows. The customer must bring their own bed linen and towels. The customer is responsible for the general cleaning of Pykälä during and after their stay.If we find the cabin not properly cleaned after a visit, we will send the customer a further invoice stating the actual cleaning expenses. Please leave the cabins as tidy as you'd also like to find them after the previous customers. Due to long distances maintenance cannot always check the cabins after all customers. It is forbidden to have more people staying in the cabin than what has been stated in the original reservation.

The owner must always be made aware of the number of people staying as well as visiting the cabin during the reservation. All kinds of parties, events and gatherings with dozens of people can cause overload to the cabin electricity especially during extreme weather conditions.

It is essential that all doors and windows of the cabins will be carefully closed/locked. For example the back door and balcony door to the outdoor sauna, toilet of the old farm storehouse (Koirala) and Old Pine Log House should always be double checked.

LIABILITY FOR PROPERTY DAMAGE

The customer is liable to reimburse any damage caused to the cabins or the property directly to the owner.

COMPLAINTS

Any reclamations or complaints must be directed to the owner immediately during your stay.
